Our Services

At AIKEN COUNTY HOMELESS HOUSING, we understand that homelessness is not just about lacking a roof over one’s head—it’s about needing stability, support, and a path forward. That’s why we offer a comprehensive range of services designed to help individuals and families regain their independence and rebuild their lives.

A safe and stable place to sleep is the first step toward recovery. Our emergency shelter program provides individuals and families with temporary housing in a secure environment, offering them protection from harsh weather and dangerous conditions. While in our shelter, residents receive basic necessities such as bedding, toiletries, and personal hygiene items, along with case management services to help them transition into permanent housing solutions.

Proper nutrition is vital for physical and mental well-being. We provide nutritious meals and food assistance programs to ensure no one goes hungry. Our meal programs include daily hot meals, food pantries, and community-driven food donation initiatives. We also collaborate with local food banks and organizations to supply fresh groceries to those in need.

Health and wellness are critical to overcoming homelessness. We connect individuals to medical care, mental health support, and substance abuse recovery services. Our healthcare partnerships allow us to provide referrals for medical checkups, prescriptions, and counseling. We also offer mental health workshops and addiction recovery programs to ensure holistic care for those struggling with personal challenges.

Education is a stepping stone to independence. We offer life skills and educational programs that equip individuals with essential knowledge to thrive in society. Our programs include financial literacy training, parenting support, job readiness workshops, and independent living skills development. We also assist individuals in completing GED programs and vocational training to increase employment opportunities.

Moving from homelessness to permanent housing is a process. Our transitional housing program provides extended support by offering temporary, yet stable housing while individuals work towards financial independence. During their stay, residents receive case management, counseling, and employment assistance to help them transition into long-term housing successfully.

Sustainable employment is key to self-sufficiency. Our job support program helps individuals gain employment training, resume-building assistance, interview coaching, and career counseling. We collaborate with local businesses to create job placement opportunities and offer skill development workshops tailored to different career paths.
